Drum roll please.......

Okay so i am so slack with this blog but it has been a very busy time for me lately.

So just wanted to let you know it finally happened and i got engaged! after all my whining and and pestering on the 30th of June my boyfriend proposed. So ill tell you the story because i know i love a good proposal story........So it was a Wednesday and i was supposed to finish work at 5 (ahh the days of being an intern) because i have a family dinner with nicks parents to celebrate me graduating. Nick came to pick me up at work at 5 but i came out at 530 (great way to start huh). He had roses for me which surprisingly didnt make me suspicious because i had been on his back about buying me flowers too (wow i really am a cow hah) Anyway we had some time to kill before dinner so we thought lets go down to blues point for a walk because the view would be beautiful. About 10 minutes later we were still walking and me being the silly girl i am was wearing heels so i was in pain. We finally reached our destination and i have to say that despite what was shortly to follow i was still giddy because the view was amazing!!! anyway after a long talk and romantic cuddles under the bridge nick asked me what the time was so whilst rummaging through my bag (ladies you know how hard it is to find your phone in those huge handbags) i turned around triumphant i had found it in under 30 minutes! and there nick was on one knee in front of me with a ring box and a happy smile.

And the rest is history :) I have uploaded some piccies of the ring and update you as to how the planning is going

So after the fiasco with Michael hill jeweller, nick and i started ring shopping again and we have found the one and paid for it and everything!!!!!!

Now the countdown starts..............


On a different not i have and internship for the next four weeks at CI events in Sydney, and after that they said if i wanted it i could have a paid job!!!!!!!

anyway off to finishe my LAST day of Certificate 3 in Events.

Regrets

DONT EVER BUY AN ENGAGEMENT RING OR WEDDING RING FROM MICHAEL HILL JEWELER!!!!!!! I cant say any more but just dont its a huge waste of time...............So what has happened lately? Not a lot i finish my certificate 3 in Events management this week on friday yay!!!

Student Life

I am a Student of Bankstown Tafe studying Events and i love it but............one tip i have is never listen to your class mates about tests, i made that mistake and didnt study.....luckily though we got a chance to do some revision before the test which i am going to be doing in about half an hour. So nervous!!!!

So on to all things engagement, Michael hill is really terrible at the moment it has been seven weeks since the ring came in and we asked for the valuation i am so pissed!!!!! pardon my french.

OH Off to do my test wish me luck........

Raining Cats And Dogs

What a horrible day, it was raining bucketloads today and it just kept getting worse......

So this morning Nick took a Flex day from work, ahh the joys of working for the government. We went over to Koorong and as always spent hours there, its just so hard not to. I bought my best friend a bible to hopefully encourage her to think about Christian life, i also bought some guides for the new and old testament so please pray for that. While we were there nick bought a preparation for marriage and engagement and its amazing its called Look Before you leap and i would recommend it to anyone looking at getting engaged, it asks a lot of questions that you don't think of or if you do are generally to hard to ask.

The Losers the movie, which we saw this afternoon was so good really good action, really funny.

Bible study starts again tomorrow, we are having a social night and going out to dinner, but i really miss small bible study the focus on specific parts of the bible and being able to talk about it with each other. The strength finder course we did was really great, it really helped me to discover my strengths and would recommend it to anyone in a church to their pastor to maybe have a short series on it.

Purple Nail polish

Okay so i had a manicure and i absolutely love the colour its so cool. Anyhoo so Its getting close nick is avoiding going into Michael hill and giving me any kind of time frame, the last time we went in there to check on the valuation the woman let it slip that nick wanted it by June. So today when we were walking by the shop i suggested to nick he go in and check on the ring and he flatly said no he doesn't want to......HE HAS NEVER SAID THAT BEFORE like seriously he is so pedantic about it and he just did care today something is up.......hmmm

Layout

I have gone a little crazy with the editing of my blog hope you like it.

So i saw this in bridetobe magazine and i love this look. The last wedding i went to had round tables.....and I liked that but i love this look, and it is also just really funky.

Tonight to bond with the future family i went to the Australian Chamber Orchestra with Nicks Father, it was great we had dinner and yeah.....it was fun.

Late i know....

So... it has been a little while since my last post but here is how things are going.

The ring is in at Michael Hill Jewellers. The only problem is that we need a valuation done for the insurance and their valuer has gone AWOL so for the moment i have to sit in waiting. Another exciting thing that is going on is that every day Nick ask's me how i want him to propose, so it must be coming soon.

My gosh this is so stressful i never thought that this whole process would take so long, its rea;;y not like it is in the movies..........till next time

The Beginning
